The Number section of the application’s Notifications tab is the number’s account: Meta’s facts about it, the settings customers see, and what Meta charged. Everyone who sees the application reads it. Changing a setting takes the owner or an admin of the team that runs the number, the same people who connect it. Every change is recorded with who made it, and every value Meta decides is shown in Meta’s own words.

What the console shows

Meta’s figures are read live and kept for an hour, so a change on Meta’s side can take up to an hour to show. The charges are Meta’s and cover the whole WhatsApp Business Account, every number on it, not this number alone. Meta bills your business directly for them. Tawked’s own fee per message comes from your Tawked balance.

What you can change

When Meta refuses a change, the console shows Meta’s reason and changes nothing on Tawked’s side.

What stays in WhatsApp Manager

Some things Meta lets only the business do, in WhatsApp Manager. The console links to it where it matters.
  • Invoices, payment methods and credit lines. Meta bills your business directly; Meta does not share invoices or payment details with Tawked.
  • The Marketing Messages terms. Accept them in WhatsApp Manager under Alerts; the console then shows the account as onboarded.
  • Deleting or moving a number, and turning two-step verification off.
  • Messaging limit increases. The limit is Meta’s, set for the whole business portfolio: from 250 customers per 24 hours it rises to 2,000 once the business is verified or has delivered 2,000 messages to unique customers in 30 days, then on its own while quality stays high. A falling quality rating no longer lowers it.

Another number

An application has one number. To send from a second number, create another application with Notifications chosen and connect the number there. See Tawked Notifications for connecting a number.
